Vision's Flight

Soared to the heavens today
on wings that were not mine…

Feathered memories
held me aloft, suspended
with whispered words
heard on the calmness
of gentle breeze’s breath.
Clouds became the canvas
where dreams were painted…
harmonious hues blended
with shadows bittersweet.
Welcomed on this flight
by the sun’s warming rays,
and in the distance skies
the moon smiled with insight
as stars gave up their visions.
The air itself seemed alive,
with the energy that is time,
as past, present and future
lost sequence and merged
to form soul’s completeness

Wow Debra, you take the rhyme out and you create such amazing imagery. This is so in touch with the ethereal sense of life. It is very moving. What's in that swamp water down there. :) Enjoyed very much. Will be coming back to this one. Take Care.
