VISIONS

" This is a poem I wrote when I was dreaming allot about my life. "
 
VISIONS
          
Daydreams and night scenes
are in my mind like an ever
present consciousness.
Awakening me to see my life
as it should be.
I float on illusions shaped to
fit me.
Yet they disperse like clouds
of reality bringing me back
down.
I cling to that bubble I was
floating in not wanting it
to burst.
Visions come to me at night
They tell a story, my life as
it should be.
Truth is revealed to me in signs
encrypted with coding only I
can understand.
I only need to look , listen, accept 
what it is I see.
Then , only then will my path be
unveiled to my awakening in self
awareness.
My dreams unlock my mind, they
free my soul unto my happiness.
Whispering in my ear…shhh
I need to listen.

Robert Pettit February 8, 2014 at 9:27 PM Easy to read and understand. This needs two corrections: in your eighth line, replace "disburse" (paying out a sum of money) with "disperse" (scattering widely and evenly). In your twentieth line, replace "except" (different from others) with "accept" (take possession of). Everything else looks good.
