Virtual Reality
I believe,
That which I've been told
Has come to mean
A different role
You speak to me
As if I'm not there
The ghost in the belltower
The wind in your hair
But I stand here as witness
To the carnage that unfolds
In the wake of words as blades
Things no man could hold
What pierces the skin,
Doesn’t hurt, or so I pretend
A faint, a misdirection,
As I hold my insides in
This fencing match
With a master;
I could never hope to win
Tomorrow, see that I am human
And flaws are more beautiful than perfection
Sincerely,
Yourself
