Virginia

Varieties of spectacular landscapes,
Including mountains, vales, rivers and sea,
Renew their enchantments each season to
Gift the deepest needs of senses in me.
I love her cities, country, clearings and woods.
Natural sites, homes of founding fathers and civil war history
Increase my emotional wherewithal and wisdom.
Adoration flows from me, as this state’s true devotee.

You are a 'true devotee' of Virginia, this reminds me a little of 'Country Roads' by John Denver, (yes I know that was about West Virginia) so lovely!

Hi, I know that you know that I know you know John Denver's Country Roads was about West Virginia. I would have felt the need to point that out also least I be misunderstood, can't have that, right? Yes, I love this state especially the Southern portion where I live as opposed to the Northern border shared with busy, busy, over populated Washington, D.C. (though I lived that scene from 18 to 21). Thanks for commenting and take good care, Michelle. Always a pleasure ... CayCay

As an Army brat, I have lived in many states as well as Germany so I never know how to answer, 'where are you from?' I left Texas (not a nature feeding state, in my view) in 2007 for Virginia because of sweet teenage / family memories and the lift her nature lends my spirituality. My house is right outside the fence bordering the Army post where my Dad once commanded a brigade. I never wish to move again, just vacation, right? So glad you had a chance to see the beauty and diversity of Virginia. (don't get me wrong, the USA has many splendid, nature abundant states.) All the best ... CayCay

Though it may sound so, the truth is I work solely for the Army brat in me who chose this state out of all the states I lived in to call home. Truth to tell, it is where I feel God the most frequently in nature (though most all nature brings about the feel) simply driving to do errands. All the best ... CayCay
