Laura, such an intriguing and beautiful haiku. Mournful and moody yet so stirring. I was captivated, thrilled and melancholy all at once.. And your title is pure genius - Violin Strings are so reminiscent of heart strings - the emotions felt with your brilliant poem starts there.. Superb and so enjoyed! Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

Thank you Susan . I remember writing this while listening to Alexander Rybak's rendion of Vocalise by Rachmaninoff . Your comments are so refreshing and uplifting. <3 ~Laura

Well done. This one touches me deeply. I can hear the violin through this verse. As always I love it and your writing. ~Kilmer

The surprise at the end, the last word. It was foreshadowed by "sad" but it still caught me off guard, and really, for me, is very heavy with mood. Very cool.
