Violence Is Never the Answer

No matter what the situation, the answer is never violence
I'm tired of seeing bodies drop and blood laying on the ground
A bunch of cowards talk hard but won't place the weapons down
No matter the situation the answer is never silence

I don't need a weapon to feel brave, I've got my pen and that's enough
it's always "Anonymous" with no picture online, who acts tough
They make threats saying they're going to do this and that while hiding behind a computer screen
Yet they hide behind a cushion while watching horror movies and wake up in screams

You go out for a drink, some guy says something, so you react when you should have left it
Because now you're a murderer, and the reason his kids are crying at breakfast
We go to war, and hope to kill the person who was making terrorist threats
But instead the government happily cause thousands of innocent people death

The government will drop bombs and not care that they're killing innocent kids
We're brought up to hate people based on the place they were born and live
They hated Osama, and loved Obama, yet they both killed innocent people
You can't hate one and love the other, whether you think its good or bad, they're both equal

I'm English so I know a lot of Americans will hate the fact I'm saying that
But I'm stating facts, so please hate me, because I won't take it back
I'm tired of all the wars, murders and innocent people we're losing here
I speak from my heart based on what I see, and I refuse to fear

Most of the world speak from a place of safety
I speak from a place of, I don't care if people hate me
All love is lost, but hopefully peace can be found
I don't mind getting killed for writing this,if later they realise what I said and then put their weapons down

No matter what the situation, the answer is never violence
I'm tired of seeing bodies drop and blood laying on the ground
A bunch of cowards talk hard but won't place the weapons down
No matter the situation, the answer is never silence
