John chapter 15 KJV Bible

"I am the true a vine, and my Father is the husbandman. b [2] Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

[3] Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. [4] Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

[5] I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."

I find I thirst more day by day
for the True Vine, oh, sweet bouquet
with one drop on tongue, love immersed
more day by day, I find I thirst

the fruit is pressed through trials unsung
love immersed, with one drop on tongue
yet in the vine we find sweet rest
through trials unsung the fruit is pressed

we’re pruned and purged by design
we find sweet rest, yet in the vine
into the vine the branch is merged
by design we’re pruned and purged

one body, one heart, all entwine
the branch is merged into the vine
warmth of Spirit like wine impart
all entwine, one body, one heart

A lovely write, Crystol! Those are some of my favorite verses. We must remain in Jesus, His Spirit leads us, and fruit follows…let Him prune us where we need it and let us continue to grow abundantly in Him! God bless you, dear sis in Christ!

Dear Crystol, such a godly prayer in a sunlit vineyard, gentle, reverent, and overflowing with hope. I read it and felt the longing and the surrender and the deep abiding trust in something greater than ourselves. There’s a quiet beauty in your words, a sense of spiritual thirst that grows richer with every line. Amen! Summer Blessings, My Dear Crystol, Daniel
