This writer of crime and verse
now remembered for couplets so terse,
A poem to 'show and tell'
this clever jingle-type doggerel-
so amusing,if written well !
Tribute to E(dmund) C(lerihew) Bentley (1878-1956) inspired by John's latest contest.Edmund
created this form in his 'Biography for Beginners(1905) and is also known for the milestone in
the crime genre he created with his 'Trent's Last Case (1913)
