Victor the Homeless Vet

this is my life
it's all i've got
take it or leave it
like it or not

there is the ally
where i make my bed
my life's in the gutter
same place i lay my head

since i've returned
bringing freedom through war
i've been the jon
while the streets been my whore

it's all i can do
to keep partially sane
paying for all of my present
and your past mistakes

victory will come
when there's nothing left
because out on the street
the only victory is death

Your poem has a lot of truth in it about our unfortunate homeless vets! May God bless them all!:)
