VICTOR FROM MENTAL TORTURE
Agonizing screams of mental torture
Kept on wrecking his well-being posture
Gripped by demonic-possession venture
He witnessed midst loathsome evil gesture.
There he was, victim writhing midst great pain
While dragged against rugged terrain in chain
Shrieking while submerged within bloody stain
Under Satan’s force nobody could drain.
He was scared to close his eyes every night
Seeing gory images so vivid and bright
Hearing sorrowful plight of grievous blight
Tormenting his heart in struggling for light.
But, now he is filled with hopefulness’ glee
In trusting God Who makes one truly free
From fright’s woe, toward the Lord he did flee
As a glad victor* cheering you and me.
*1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
