Vice Seemed Nice

Drinking booze
    Chasing skirts
  What's there to lose
    How can it hurt

  Away from home
    for the very first time
  With room to roam
    on his parents' dime

  Years later, he's clueless
    and down on his luck
  Homeless and shoeless
    but by one thought struck

  He'd lost his way
    ruined his life forever
  Hedonism's not horseplay
    It's simply not very clever

Gershon, you have painted a true picture of the wasted time of too many in today’s society. :)Paulette

That's right, Paulette. And at least 50% of them are in college on daddy and/or mommy's dime.

GW, you've done it again...a fine portrait of a wasted life. Many young folks don't seem to realize that one big mistake can ruin their life forever.

Yes, indeed. So many at my college experienced the first two parts, as for the slide into the gutter, most avoided it. But not all, unfortunately. :)

Yes GW, a little goes a long way! But oh, how heady an experience! Clever and wise, your poem of demise! Happy Sunday!
