Vertigo Eyes

Standing at the precipice of hope, these retinal denials gazed into the misty, crystal waterfall I had no secure peer of rappelling rope tied to a waste modesty lifestyle Unsure of the plunge into the pulsing roar of the call Survivor guilt from a recent whirlwind passion tilt, left me dashed upon the rocks of despair Jagged pining pierced my pulmonary fears, vulnerable tears tossed to the tumultuous wind Loneliness was such an empty sound, so disquieting Gathering my gypsy courage, I trekked to the uppermost region of solitude ... And stood in the Amazon predawn shade, with the other doves of the mourning Where a rainforest chorus of yearning was made There, at the edge of diffidence, I saw a vision of rare beauty regal flutter by ... and we met eye to eye Two jilted birds of lost paradise gave a twin joyous cry Harmonious tears lifted to the rainbow sky In the space of a heartbeat, the free-falling effect of commitment pushed me over the twinkling edge — Transforming wary doubt to unconditional hope Now, my aorta desires has vertigo eyes, as a fiery lifetime of love was revealed to me in a frozen instant of pure ecstasy This inner aurora fire lights a giddy sunrise Aorta desires always have vertigo eyes A leap of faith has given my heart new life, and the fear of falling in love again has died

Ty for the gracious, insightful comments, my talented PSoup poetic peers. As for this poem's creative conception: I always try to find new, inventive phrase ways of saying the beautiful, endearing term: "falling in love." Much love and more love always to everyone. Romantic Warrior

Quite a powerful poem; I especially like the lines: "Aorta desires always have vertigo eyes"; that sums it up quite well. "Gathering my gypsy courage, I trekked to the uppermost region of solitude ... And stood in the Amazon predawn shade, with the other doves of the mourning Where a rainforest chorus of yearning was made", a very clear image here; wonderful work.
