Vampire Romance
She comes to me in a linen gown
With her hair thrown over her shoulder
Her chestnut brown eyes flicker in the candlelight
And the silhouette of her body is illuminated by the moon.
I waited here this evening for my love
As she awoke to leave her boudoir and make her way
Quietly past the others in the house, to my awaiting arms
Under the moon, we two lovers meet, embrace and drink of each other
The air, humid, but with a soft breeze
Cascades off our bodies as we lay upon the blanket
Placed carefully out of site from peering eyes and nosy hearts
The moon serenades us, as we dance to the music it so beautifully provides
The nights are all we look forward to
As our days are filled with sleeping desires
But these nights, welcomed and cherished, are what we desire
And the heat, we two lovers create, keeps the fires burning in our souls
Those fires keep our dormant passion
Alive and ready to be rekindled at sundown
When she comes to me again and I welcome her
She is my lover, but also the nourishment I need and crave
She, is my recent victim.
