Valley of Dreams
Valley of Dreams
I descend through a valley of dreams where the sun wears a golden smile,
nothing you see is what it seems, the light is a wave of crystal,
angels with silver wings carry me along a road of sapphire,
and deep in my chest the world melts away like wax on an ancient altar.
Hummingbirds with silk-soft voices sing the serenity of the world to me,
butterflies dance in solemn grace like dreams torn loose from a clear blue sky,
roses drift past and paint a smile upon these fog-pale cheeks of mine,
and peace is a violet river flowing gently through all that is divine.
Serenity wraps around me like the white smoke of an early morning,
nature whispers into my open palms her secrets of emerald and fire,
beauty is there every single day like a longing that never dies,
open your mind and you will see that the world is a magnificent place.
You don't need to dream when your eyes are open windows made of light,
everything holds a hidden beauty like a flower buried under heavy snow,
stars burn in the deep of night like the souls of those who have gone,
and the love of God descends so gently like the dew of a quiet evening.
Come with me to the valley where dreams are more alive than waking,
where the sky is a golden altar and love itself has no end,
we stand together in the glory of the world with our hearts wide open,
and we rejoice in the infinite love that was always meant to be ours.
