Valentines Poem For Chicago Bears

You must be from Chicago, you football bears
I used to live there, they made the best chairs
Wrigley Field was way back against my lairs
They had the tastiest foods at their carnival fairs

You bears probably date easily, without cares
Have you ever climbed Field Museum’s icy stairs?
Or ridden in one of the buggies with the old mares?
I bet if you scared people, there would be stares.

Magnificent Mile this year is full of hares.
Easter time, but I bet they hop hard from bears.
Do you have any Valentines’ Day planning shares?
You two are one of the cutest couple pairs.

I am now going to visit my favorite shop, Claire’s.
Letting my daddy’s credit card take care of my affairs.
You have a fine day, my new friends, Jilly and Jares.
I’ll see you back in Chicago, you football bears

I loved writing it - whenever I get out of the writing mood, I force myself to write monorhymes; that always gets my ticker pumping
