Valentine's Day

It’s Valentine’s Day and I wanted to say from my heart with a love that’s so true. I’m missin’ you now and to this I avow that I’m savin’ my lovin’ for you. And while we’re apart, I know in my heart that you’re missin’ togetherness too. But never forget, as this simple vignette, that I’m savin’ my lovin’ for you. February 14, 2022

Brilliantly simple and the genuine article. Showcase what Valentines Day should mean us. Few of us take it seriously enough. We should, put our inhibitions aside and take risks both with poetry and in getting our feelings hurt. Have written a few love poems in my day most not reciprocated but still treasure the poems and the feelings that inspired them. I should have put in more effort as far as putting pen to paper for my wife. But hey I am only 69 so still time. best regards David in NZ

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and comments, David. Hey, there is still time, get out your pen and paper and let your thoughts flow. I am 75 and I still write love poems. John

The longing in your heart is evident within. I can feel your words so deeply. I love the way you repeat the last line, it makes your thoughts flow so beautifully. Happy Valentine's Day, my sweet friend. My best to you. :) Hugs, Brandy
