Vain Longing

I long for and grieve over the flower That has wilted from the plant But never bothered to admire it While it smiled in full bloom Or waved to me in cheerful camaraderie! Such wise words of wisdom from your inspiring ink dear Valsa... How true that we often forget to live for the moment...and instead we think about the past or future... Enjoyed reading this... Have a blessed day... Hugs... ~ Ani

It is sometimes so hard not to look back, after things have changed, and in so looking back, miss the things in our presence. I have a hard time with this very thing Victor, this is a good poem, it makes me think.

An uplifting verse Valsa, what's gone is gone and we have to let it go. But you're right, there's much more beauty around us if we just open our eyes to it. Tom

The plant is not dead. One would expect it to flower again in a year's time. Hugs.
