Vacant World

I live in a vacant world
A place where nobody’s home
Knock on the door, see who’s there
No one will answer

This one I really like. Reminds me of the many times I try to get through to a large company by phone!

The world is indeed vacant and sometimes nobody is home even when they are there (if you know what I mean).

I see Barbara relates to this as well, Russell. My world often seems vacant because I live alone. It's not much fun going out and coming back to a vacant house. In some respects, your dodoitsu also reminds me of Emily Dickinson's "I'm Nobody." You're writing some very thought-provoking poetry! Love, Carolyn
