Vacancies

on the wings
of waking hours
adrift in thoughts
he’s the only one
that can fill
the vacancies
of this mind

lingering
in the essence
that he has become
i tremble
from depths
within my soul

i can feel
his fingers
tracing
the edges
of my existence

his every breath
rising with
anticipation
in whispers
against flesh

my pulse
racing
against
the thrusts
of time
climaxing
on the folds
of night
where dreams
bring his kiss
to awaiting lips

( simple bus scribbles)

You fill the vacancy beautifully my friend--most don't have your gift of charming words, Sandy--drive safely my friend--but let the dreams be!

Thank you so much Vijay...i always drive safe...i been doing this quite a few years...down time boredom allows for some musing time...i used to just let them go and try and remember them when i got home... now i either text the thoughts to myself and write when i get home, or if i am granted too much downtime i write them as i sit alone... hugs

Your bus seems to be 'driving' your muse! Wonderful piece-

Thank you Michelle...i think so... sitting in a cold bus alone, waiting on the kids, just watching nature and trying to think of ways to find warmth certainly stirs the muse some days.. some good poems have come from my bus boredom :) hugs

Wow, that is certainly some bus! :) Sensually enticing and enchanting my friend. Sigh, this one sure does makes it's way straight to the heart of the reader. I am breathless at the moment. This is a dream I would never want to leave. Absolutely beautiful Sandy.

Thank you so much Chris... the bus must have some kind of magical powers over my muse...it seems to draw the poetry out, although, it could be the boredom of sitting alone in a cold bus sometimes up to an hour...just staring at nature, looking for ways to keep warm... glad you enjoyed this one my friend... hugs
