Utopia (Alas For Humanity)

A perfect world.
Utopia.
We are free to think.
Free to move.
Free to love.

Hatred has been abolished.
Violence and anger are extinct.

Everyone in harmony.
Children do not die from hunger and illness-
While billionaires gorge themselves on caviar.

Religion.
The cause of most hatred and war.
Deconstructed to its purest form.
A love for each other.
A love for creation.
An awareness that something higher is out there.
But not necessarily what we belive now.

A green and pleasant land.
Trees and flowers in bloom.
We wander freely.
Lost in thought.
Lost in perfect moments.

Alas this world will never be.

Very true. However, i think this day will come. Not through religeous beliefs though. Disregard religeon and embrace god. Or if god is not your thing, disregard teachings that have for thousands of years caused pain and suffering and then embrace what is pure peace and love. I'm not God fearing but the love in us all is what i believe god is..... That is all he is.

Love your vision and message in this poem. I still have hope, as long as we have that then perhaps...I think the world's evolution is reletively young and it's going to take a lot more generations to move things along. Just wish we could live long enough to see it. Don't think there ever will be a utopia since truth is not finite and it's always expanding growing and changing.Good write! Truly enjoyed. See what you did, you got me thinking wich is good lol! Happy New Year! Love Light Patty
