Notes About The Poem

Very occassionally I have flare ups of eczema especially when I am abroad and it's hot so I based the poem on this but urticaria or hives as it is more commonly know has the same urge to itch

Urticaria

Ugly red spots appear
Usually they itch
Urgent need to scratch them
Urge is so strong I am
Unable to resist
Using my nails - but should 
Use antihistamines!

Awful thing to have . I DO know eczema!! My poor sister has psoriasis and it's really ugly. She has to take drugs that give her side effects. So many stupid things that happen to us and the drugs just make it worse! Congrats on the win, Jan. By the way, I forgot to say on my last comment. I love that song by ART Garfunkel. he sang it, right?

lol I have some piriton which i take on holiday with me and also some cream which works wonders, thankfully during lockdown I have been fine:-) hugs Jan xx

So that’s what it’s called Jan, I’ve seen this afflict people whilst on holiday, nasty little reaction, love that last bit, tearing at them with nails, making it worse ha, I shouldn’t laugh, but it’s you so it’s ok, cheers David

Goddamn prickly heat, sitting under a parasol alone, everyone else in the sun, antihistamine for a few weeks before you go away seems to solve the problem cheers David

Itch scratch itch when you know you shouldn't touch it lol, not had eczema in a good few years tend to get flare ups in the sun,my friend gets prickly heat the desire to itch is unbearable for her, hugs jan xx
