Urban Afternoon Reflection

Sitting here gazing out of my window hearing autos rush by I meditate on our dilemma Citizens of a small planet in the vast cosmos We spend our time searching for love and peace Trapped on a one way path to nowhere We must find some meaning in our lives Sex, intoxicants, music relieve the pain temporarily "But there is always the question"

Great lines with majestic eloquence.. Your meandering of words still did not prevent your peice from giving out its message. This is an absolute 7!

glad your mom is still around, Matt. Mine is too though I rarely get to see her. I ought to call her and see if she got my gift yesterday on time. I like how your poem refers to the question that will always plague mankind!

How true. Life just passes us by. Our questions unanswered. Maybe we are just looking in vain and life really has no meaning? Nice introspective write . 7
