In memory of my mother who passed away. I wrote this on the day she died. It was during the covid lockdown and was unable to attend her funeral because of that. It was her anniversay yesterday so I decided to post it here.
Upon the tree of death today its leaf you have become,
like many others gone before, your time to go has come.
I know your soul is peaceful your heart is pure and good,
So strong and independent all these years, Your ground you stood.
I know that everyone loved you, looked up to you a lot,
and I am very certain that God has booked your slot.
So go now on to heaven, enjoy your peaceful stroll
So go now on to heaven, and rest your tired soul
So feel the breeze from heavens tree, and look out to the sea,
your death has left a numbness so please look down at me.
I will remember fondly the memories we shared,
and I am ever grateful that God for those you spared.
Go Rest in peace, dear mother, Your time on earth is done,
onto the angels hands go cling go now and have some fun.
