Upon a Quiet Morning

Sitting in silence
Out in the garden
Pensive, but opened
To the elements,
Whispers and whistles
Of life in concert.

Slowly the tension
Of daily burdens
Ease, as I confer
With the wise teacher
You have given us
Beauty of nature.
