Unzipped Lips

These words are from
the depths,
Of a nightmare I dare not
fathom...
These written antidote,
For that which consumes
me inside...
Time fly fast
Can these "wingless"
words?

I try to masquerade
these words in lines,
Trying to hide that
which is visible to the
eyes,
Am hurt..Am afraid....Am
confused...
I wear these smiles,
clothe my bitterness,
Embellish it with
beauty..
Faces are truly mask,
Obscuring the wounded
spirit...

If I could say,
If you may,
I'll scream for relief,
From the horrors of
reality....
It hurts,the truth, it does,
These lies are my own
pain killer...

I stand here, no one to
turn to
Everyone on the fast
lane of their reality...
No,''how are you"
"How can I aid you"
They all say "we care"
But that's a lie well said

S.O.S! This soul cries of
the midst of the
blackness
Held south by a dark past
Held north by a blur
future
S.O.S! I dial...
Someone pick up the
phone!

(When ever I feel like
this..I go on my knees
and pray for GODs
mercy..and affirm his
words for my life...and
it real helps..)

Prince ~ Very powerful and thought provoking too. Sounds like you may have even lived it. I felt it as I read and have found inner peace with prayer! Your Friend ~ Debbie K.

This is a very intense piece, Prince. Can you tell me where I can find that list you saw. I sent in a poem but have seen no list. Joyce
