Unusual Circumstances

what's different about my days? not a walk in the park
but a gallop around the block, grand
boys in tow, towing me. picking me
wildflowers. we have a spring
in our steps, though mostly housebound.

what about work? the library's closed
to the public, some of us
at home have homework even as we help
our kids do the same. a book review
for me. i must

read a young adult book. i've picked Dandelion
Wine, drinking it up. Ray Bradbury's the poetic author
of this uplifting childhood treat.

busier, more contemplative snippet of time. renewing
my mind with peace, in unusual circumstances.

Our libraries are closed too - I miss them! But at least I can get out in the open air with my pooch - it sounds like you are having fun with your grandkids!

Yes, I have always considered Ray Bradbury a bit of a poet. This is a lovely muse Kim.

these are unusual times. Ray Bradbury's Dandelion Wine is timeless classic. Enjoy and be well.

My dearest sweet friend, pray that things stay as they are there, no matter how unpleasant they may appear and pray that things would not become as in devastating Italy where more than three thousand have died and more than 35000 are infected with the virus. We, in Greece have only six deaths and more than 460 infected but is still the beginning! Pray , pray and pray! Posted two poems on the subject! God bless you! xxx

Absolutely will pray, Demetrios! We are hanging in over here. Keeping up with family by video phone. My mom went into the hospital for a few days (first time that happened) unrelated to the virus. They only allowed my dad and they posted a pic for us kids - taking a walk down the hall in their masks. Be safe. <3 Kim

Time at home well spent. We are remembering a quieter more leisurely time.

I am adjusting. Things felt a bit better today but it is still strange. I had to cancel my trip to Minnesota but I get to spend time with the grandsons here. Love ya..Kim

Yes, lots of time at home right now. It sounds like you and your family are healthy and happy. That's good news. I really like the way you put your poem together. Hugs, Catie :-)
