Untouchable
Sister,
today you turn 16.
Oh the years have passed, while
you and I age together,
I see your hair blowing
in the wind.
Innocent as a
newborn.
Beautiful as a lady.
I imagine your smile
Your brown eyes,
I dream of your voice,
as I listen to your
silent messages
Do you live through me?
Do you guide me?
Why couldn’t I scold you when wrong?
Teach you lessons,
Tease your pimples,
Chase away boys
You are beautiful
You are free
Your name is Angelica.
you are my angel
I met you once,
but I’ve known you forever.
