Untitled:Deep Ii
I retracted my finger
from the pond's surface
and the earth made waves
that rippled through her heart
She sent an invite
asked me to say
we discussed dreams
until she yawned
I danced around
something or other
so I told a joke.
One time, at band camp
I felt my soul racing
And I've liked jazz ever since
"Boy you so crazy"
Then she sang
Strumming my pain with his...
I tried to chill
but felt overly electric
I imagined
Pianos in the dark
and her legs bent around
sunrises
till I started quaking,
She placed
a hand on my thigh,
patted it twice
and said
Sometimes she just wants to
talk less and feel
more blessed
We prayed for forgiveness
because we knew
we we're doing this
I ran my fingers
along her cheek
and she acted sleep
and that was that
I left with my innocence
intact, but I never should
have touched her
face so gently
Been loving jazz
without asking her name
