***Female cats are called queens***

 

Spot, my dog, really likes this Limerick

there was a young cat named Dom who every spring chased the queens with aplomb one day he was taken to the vet and lost his best asset and now Dom is no longer a Tom

This is precious and cute and precious in ribbons of cute. Your limerick generated a most genuine giggle. I've had many female cats and yet I'm ignorant about 'queens' being a reference to them. I knew if I wasn't careful, I might learn something today. I had such a good time with your creativity that I hope I remember to come back. Poetry hugs ... CayCay
