Young and in love, my heart swelled
With feelings so wild, passions
Growing so my heart marveled
Knowing that this love was blessed
Blessed by love, my hopes grew
Boundless song of dreams revived
Coloring my soul in rhythms I knew
Were meant to reveal love’s delight
Delighted by this love, time passed
As I felt the wonder so sweet
Promising to remain, always steadfast
Love so amazing, my heart keeps praising
Praising so these feelings never leave
Yet, time was passing and I could see
That love grows old, love to which I’d cleave
Remembering the songs we once sang
Singing of love who would forever flow
A river of grace, peace and hope
Rising and swelling with love who’d grow
Like the amazing joy it brings to hearts
Hearts feel more beautiful and more alive
Because of this love that will abide
Inside those who believe love can survive
Despite the past fears, the tears we’ve cried
Crying for the moments when love knew
Feelings and blessings, the beautiful truth
Love this special, so amazing, in my heart grew
With its own music playing, the softest tune
Tune of hope, song fading into the night
Reminding me, even in old age, I can believe
Where there is devotion that feels so right
There is a promise of love that cannot deny
Denying this love would pay such a price
This is a love that God blessed throughout life
Love that makes me feel, love to entice
Revealing the beauty of hearts who abide
Abiding with each other – just you and I
Reaching for the moon, seeing love’s light
Falling with the stars, way up in the sky
I know, with you, this love will not die
Dying to tell you what you mean to me
You are the reason for this love so sweet
You make a way for me to always be
Filled with this love that will never leave
Leave out love’s forgiveness and the pain
And you’ll have a love that is not real
We’ve had a real love, that grew in the rain
Showing our souls that love is more than a feeling
Feeling love means letting go of the fears
Remembering this joy that hearts have felt
Joy that comes despite the longing, the tears
Feelings that show us we have something real!
