Untimely Acceptance

I was suff'ring from cold, her hand which felt so soft was in my hand; Her company was so pleasant: 'God! Stop the time!' was heart's demand. Time passed quickly as could be, Looking at her face I didn't feel; She had to leave at eight O'clock, This was the gash that could not heal. Time did not stop, she pick'd her bag, My feelings with thorny bands roped; She kiss'd my lips; said, "Get well soon!", And left at eight, the time stopped. March 22, 2022
