Until Sleep Finds Me

Cant sleep, my brain begins to fumble
Devils knocking on my door
Getting harder to stay humble
thoughts getting louder
like a Coke head without the powder
Try as i might to ease my mind of the night
Current enivironment cuts like a knife
Plug back into the matrix,
Zap! And there goes my life
A fight taking flight
Inside wide awake it sleeps waiting to break
Pull me free from my shackles
My soul is whats at stake
Making rhymes to pass the times
Plucking apart my inner hymnes
The ones that i hide
So the others can have their peace of mind
Dont need a fancy vocabulary
Just one feeling at a time
This is how
Yet im still tracing lines
Of yesterdays stories
Telling myself im still doing fine
Now i Break the cycle
Reading the God given signs
To be a warrior is to fight even when your blind
Keep marching forward. Dont even look behind
