Few couples have a smooth road to follow through life. Relying on each other and taking each day as it comes is the key to happiness. Congratulations on your big win, Lainie! Love, Carolyn

This is a great poem Elaine. First off. the use of birds against the elements is a well used metaphor in this poem. The language is everyday that allows the poem to be appreciated as a poem and not an exercise. I like the lack of punctuation, it reminds me of Appollanaire's statement that the lines are already seperate therefore the reader knows where to pause. I'm a sticler for grammer but I can appreciate what you have done here.

I always am an awe of the tiniest birds who survive the winter through. Of course I am thinking this is all a metaphor, and well done at that. Amazing the human will. As is nature. Miracles abound. Beautiful write. Love, shar

I love your sincereness of hope and statement within it I believe~that you too are as those creations birds~but even more precious are "You!"~for as "Christ" said, "How much more precious are 'You' than they!"~"Happy Holidays Dear, My Love Always, John,"~By Beautiful Lady!:)

Excellent images here! Those tiny little creatures up against a force of nature, yet still undaunted! ~ Great job!~ Carrie
