Untapped

Slowly roasted golden marshmallow
Some of the sweetness still clings to the branch
Never to be experienced
How many souls seek to design?
Walk into the artful expression?
Dance to a living beat?
But the dreams bruise and fade in the daily struggle
With presently focused eyes
What once built worlds from color crayons
Now find the limits of reality and reason
Oh untapped souls
The weekend welcomes you
