Unsung War Heroes

Unsung war heroes

Glow of her youth and bridal dress,
She, at her best, was sure to impress,
He was too handsome a groom,
Any heart meeting him would bloom,

Call of duties and there he went,
Wedding day close, yet no repent,
Would be bride his greater strength,
Parents proud of their brave son,

War was on, courage was shining,
Patriotic spirit , warriors were fighting,
Weapons and bloodshed at every crease,
Brave soldiers were slaying for peace.

Hats off to all unsung war heroes,
Selfless their love for country flows,
Never ending wait for parents and bride,
Yet sacrifice for nation is a matter of pride !

Wow, Dr Upma...This was absolutely amazing! Yes, the women pay the price...for losing the men they love. Sometimes one wonders....You gave this a beautiful glow...Hugs

U hv got me absolutely right my dear friend! In fact I was craving to hv this comment,, where war heroes r unsung,, their women r yet far from being called unsung,, that's why I described much abt the bride ! Thanks a lot !
