Unspoken Words
without words
flickering light
scraping
cranial cavity
gathering embers
blowing, on the coal,
like a whisper…
in the dark...
strutting prowess
phooo…phooo…
as children play
dark as day
…a tail
…a mane
an arrow wound
medicinal plants
burnished hew
studying copiously
god’s intended wall
poems with ambient light
hunting haunts the mind
shadows climb
fingers flicker
satisfied of hunger
having engraved
what his mind craved
mother nods
children smile
men give their ...ahems and …ahas
all tucked into bed
sunlight stings their eyes
shadows kiss their heads
the cave remembers
speaking unspoken words
