Unspoken Words

You hold back
Not knowing what to say
Fearful your words
Just might get in the way
But, my love, now, today
Speak to me

You know words
Can ignite my soul
And make me melt
To my very core
So you hold back
Choosing and weighing
Instead of just saying
What you feel
This is so real…
Speak to me

Speak to me with your eyes
I’ll melt in the depths of that fire
Speak to me with your smile
That lights my soul with desire
Speak to me with your hands
Those words of possession you can’t find
They can speak to me now
As your hands touch and they bind
Speak to me

My heart’s well within grasp
All you need to do is ask
With an eloquence unhampered by words
Transcending verbal expression
Look, touch, move towards me with intention
And I will understand
All you cannot say
And I’ll be swept away
By all the unspoken words
That you say...
Speak to me

I'm the strong silent type of person my friend, but my voice through poetry is heard fairly well! So I understand this poems message very well Eileen! I really enjoyed reading this enlightening poem this morning! What a powerful piece, Great Work!!

Thanks, Russell...so good to hear from you! Yes....as the Word says, there is a time to speak and a time to be silent....the wise person is the one who knows how to decide! I'm glad your voice is heard in your poetry! That is probably the most beautiful of ways!

This is all fine if you know and are intimate with the person, bit of a dodgy move if you aren't lol. In the right place there are times you do not need words. Take care, Richard

Body language... I like the "vibes"... :) There's a Facebook page that constantly posts really interesting quotes and pictures... it's called "If U don't understand my silence how will you ever understand my words"... I check it out quite frequently.
