Unspoken
I wake encased in arms so strong
a heart beating beneath my cheek.
I am tempted to sneak a peek,
though feeling right where I belong.
From the night, clothes strewn all along
the room and on every antique.
No time for words, no need to speak
as we made love to one last
song.
He stirs, and greets me with a smile.
Unspoken words from yesterday
floating in the crisp morning air.
They'll stay unspoken for a while,
as we both chase the chill away.
Our bodies and our hearts we bare.
