Unrequited Love
Eyes, Gateways to the soul
When I look into hers I see pools of blue divine moonlight
She looks back
My heart skips a beat
Her warm embrace makes my soul quiver with joy
She says I love you, I say it back
She means it but not in the way I want it
She looks back at me with her angelic allure
I try to tell her how I yearn
No words could do it
No actions could show it
...I can’t do it
I find myself at the precipice of heartbreak
The clear path is lost to me
In the distance I see the golden haired angel
Growing ever closer, yet increasingly further
I don’t think I can live without you
And I know that I never will...
