Unrequited Love

If only I could have told you how I really felt. You are my best friend and I loved being around you. You’re the one I called on when I had a bad day. On many occasions when my family were fighting, you were there. You were my rainbow after a very bad storm. I found comfort in your loving arms. You me made feel special when it felt as though, the world said I was no good. I was vulnerable around you, I showed you my ugly truth, and you didn’t even flinch. I never understood why you said, my scars were beauty marks. I still remember your eyes, they’re loving and kind. I still remember your dimples, they’re mes- merizing. I still recall your voice, it’s like music to my ears. I still recall your scent, it’s the best aroma ever. There’s no way you could have known how I felt, I was to afraid to tell you. You’re an amazing friend and confidant and I couldn’t bare to lose you. If Only You Knew…. I was madly in love with you, What would you have done? We’ll never know because now you’re married with a family of your own. Not a day that goes by that I don’t think about what could have been.
