Unreal Estate

The special section in The Times,
Intended for the rich,
Showed real estate available
If homes you’d like to switch.

You need a fitness room or pool?
A chamber for the maid?
Six bathrooms and a terrace
Showing Central Park displayed?

Imported marble in the baths?
A cellar for your wine?
The latest in technology
And elegant design?

I don’t require all that stuff;
There’s nothing I am missin’
Especially compared to those
Without a pot to piss in.

Well if they did have a pot to piss in they'd probably wish they had a chamber maid. :) lol

I like the ending. Pure defiance: I am Woman, Hear me Roar! ~ Helen Reddy

Enjoyed! The more one has, the more worries one has just trying to keep what one has! On a large estate, 80% of the employees are working on how they can rip the owner off, yet billionaires remain focused on earning more billions to pay for it . . . .

Ilene, you are so right who needs a mansion, I can make a cozy nest anywhere and be quite happy, your last verse is so funny ~

Super! Yes, and in my case, I am the one without a pot to piss in! Deb used to love to look at the real estate up for sale. She was a dreamer. Soon after a home went on the market, she would know what the asking price was and what it would sell for. I loved her enthusiasm.

Lol you're so right Ilene, best of it is they don't get to take it with them when they die. Tom
