Unreachable Dream

Will it be too much to ask, Lord?
To meet him even at once
That once in a lifetime
I could say
His and mine path crossed
Something I could blurted out
On my petty but precious notebook
Or will you tell me,
“this girl is irrationally insane!”
If I ask to own
His beautiful heart
Will you tell me,
I don’t have the prerogative, Oh Lord?
Even to dream this impossible dream
I’m afraid you’ll tell me
Who am I to ask for such a Star?!
And how could I pen this foolish poetry
With his gentle voice underneath my ear
A silent utterance can’t you bear?
In this, another dreamy night
Where I hold
This impossible dream the most
And I beg Your gracious pardon
Oh, Lord
That I, Your irrationally insane child
Ask You
For such a wishful yet unreachable dream
