Notes About The Poem

Unopposed

In the quiet night
Softly singing, such a sight
Hesitant prayers, so right
Spoken by breathless moonlight

Erasing the timeless tales
Wind and rain prevails,
Trembling on starlit trails
Moonlight hue softly pales

I see the night whisper it’s praise
Across the heavens, to amaze
I bask in its gently caressing rays
As I look up, with a riveted gaze

Moonlight makes me feel, so I know
The warmth of its tender glow
Melting away the darkness, a flow
Soft presence of a light to show…

What it means to believe, so composed
By the wonder of a light, exposed
To the music of moon who disclosed
The meaning of love, unopposed

Monorhymes are challenging to write. You did well with the rhythm and the rhyme here
