Unknown Known
Unknown Known
I know I am being watched
I know it’s following me
The dark thing that walks with me
It’s just around the corner
It’s hiding in the light
And it grows strong when it becomes the night
I can hear it breathing
Gasping and it groans
Rustling about me
It never leaves me alone
This thing floats through me
And my thinking get absorbed
Into an abyss of confusion
And paranoidal songs
The lullaby is ancient
Who is singing that song
It sounds so familiar
I know I must be wrong
There it goes before me
It turns the corner first
I run as fast as I can
And try to catch this ancient curse
What is this madness
Doesn’t it ever have to rest
I am so tired of all of this
I feel I lost my best
I hear the unspoken words
They repeat and repeat
Like the banging of a drum
This discords plays
And never misses a beat
My days are filled with questions
The nights will always loom
And then the singing thing
Will come back to my room
I do not want this roommate
This partner of my mind
I do not want this company
With me all the time
I haunt myself
The ghost must be me
And I have as of yet
Been unable to flee
