Unique
I’ll give you all an easy quiz,
You may be dumb or a whiz,
Tell me if you can:
What makes this world go around?
What makes you sane and sound?
Is it the perpetual time
or an ever elusive God?
Is it the taciturn soul
or the ever explicit mind?
How do we live without
the light of the sun?
Do we die without the air?
But how do we breathe
if we have no nose?
So what is unique
Is it God or the sun?
Is it time or the life-giving air?
Maybe it is the water we drink.
Or, if we have them all
but no food,
What would we eat?
Maybe it’s nature that nourishes us
and keep us alive!
If not tethered to the earth
won’t we all go adrift in the space?
What is it without which
life means nothing,
What makes living the life worthwhile?
What is best of all?
What is unique?
