Unguarded
I drowned in
That unguarded look
The one that showed
That your eyes adored
What you saw in me
I revived in
That unguarded word
The one that showed
Your heart could voice
In softer tones
What my soul
longed to hear
I melted in
That unguarded touch
The one that burned
And seared my flesh
With the passion
That had escaped
from the prison
Where you kept it
locked under bolt and key.
I loved in
That unguarded moment
The moment when
You made time stand still
For I’d gained entry
Into your soul
And I saw treasures
Hidden there
That you jealously guarded
Afraid that I might steal
And leave you empty!
My love, let your guard down
I come in peace
I come to caress
I come to heal
I come to love
I come to celebrate
I come to conquer
And to break your prison
So that you
Will always be
Unguarded!
