Notes About The Poem

Unfreeze Me

Is there anyone that will sit with me? For just a little while, and hold my hand? This morning the world was black, And for a second I knew that the past hundred years The next millennia Live inside me, frozen. So simple is the pleasure of an arm A little faith, one remaining dream Save from everfrost. Is there someone who can Unfreeze me? *** May 2, 2017 Copyright © Darren White

Oh Darren. How did I miss this. You have done it once again with the emotive factor. My goodness. And yes, can I sit with you. We can sit together. Can I bring the beach and all her essence to us both. I'll provide a snack so we can stay. You amaze me with your poetic talent and expressions. I love titles and you have named this perfectly. This is beautiful in every way completely and entirely. Have a wonderful afternoon. And now I need to catch my breath after reading your words.

You write so eloquent of a seemingly every day experience, can truly be the heart reaching out for what it needs, in this moment: 'the pleasure of an arm' to stave off the formidable foe, of a chilling aloneness and give eternal warmth to a 'soul fighting for life, in the embrace of love to help ease the feeling of 'oneness' turning it into a glorious, 'togetherness' for all to link arms and join in your goals to unite and 'be love', through the spirit of your beautiful.poignant poetry.

My friend or should I say a friend to many here on Soup. I'm sure there is no shortage of arms to wrap around you and thaw this chill that seems to be inside of you. I'll bet you're feeling warmer already. Nicely expressed loneliness and longing.

I sometimes need to get rid of that cold before it gets a grip on me. It can be a lonely fight, so every now and then it is so good to see there are friends out there, I am so fortunate to have so many friends, thank you my dear friend.
