Unfounded

Some thoughts tonight kept me at bay Some night tonight leaves me unfounded Somewhere for no place to stay Some place for words… be rewarded If I have listen, did I hear? Like having words I did not write If I have thoughts, did it appear? Like a self in an open world, having to hide Perhaps this night is at fault A night never meant for nights for me Perhaps rather, too eager to be caught For nights never meant for a night to be A wordless night… I have words Yet too much for a mind to have arrange Yet simply to write… I’ll be heard For everyone, if myself… did we change? Some thoughts tonight… stayed This night tonight, I’m rewarded Some mind for thoughts to simply say For nights like tonight to leave me unfounded
