Unfiltered

My love is a noose to my C and F vocal cords
Coercing premature family deaths with no remorse
Waterboarding generations with grief
My heart wears a crown of thorns for thoughts of loving others more than self
X your critical thinking for temporary social degrees
twisting blades from the back to the front because Brutus and Medusa want to add to their body count under the alias of america I mean sin
Pride got these bodies moving under the influence of zombie tendencies
Turning the other cheek halfway only produces a tenth of change
No wonder people are stealing pennies from the wishing well hoping they turn into prayers
Spirituality is the new religion; they love rocking True in place of the belt of truth
History is a broken record-breaking records
Are the eyes seeing more or the cameras just taking better pictures
Biblical scrolls mirrored thrown away newspapers now turned click bait
Looking at the crossroads instead of The Son so everything feels like a lure
And catching everything will never compare to The One
2-piece catfish with the 5 daily rolls I wish the weekend lasted as long as the week
Love is malnourished but Matthew has a recipe with only 4 ingredients 4 all who choose
The Romans discipline, we are the 13th disciple students of Christ
Made in his image so I walk with purpose
They don't know Him so they try to murder my dreams as if I don’t close my eyes the same
Love isn’t decreasing it's learning how to evergreen over
Dead presidents bleeding blue for all the hidden red on the bottom of slave rugs used for designer shoes
The lesser always abused, used, and never seeing the fruits of their labor
Love is in labor and raising forgiveness and hate at the same time
My great grandfather time, passed down a watch that is still crying
Mother Nature's brooch is tarnished by the dust of forgotten morals
The american dream has always been a nightmare and they say stay woke
I woke up to headlines of headshots praying their aim misses me
I keep missing me the way I procrastinate change as if time can be borrowed or refilled
Faith is too quiet for loud prayers, stares deflecting action on someone else’s chair
Musicals reminding me I am still falling
Into a love that never ends, forever forgives, and is just waiting for comprehension
Love is only as strong as the growth that has bloomed
p.s. stop sifting the unfiltered…
