Unexpected Delight
Glancing outside one morning, I finally see.
The first snowfall of the season, in front of me.
It is a beautiful but unusual sight to behold.
The snow covering the dunes, shaping them as if a mold.
The waves continue to flow, but over the sand now white.
The first time it happened, it was quite an unexpected delight!
Beach brown color the usual scene everywhere,
was covered by snow, a bright white now was there.
The sun made an appearance later that day.
It made beautiful, glittering sparkles, with it's ray.
The railing on my deck was covered with snow too,
giving a frame like appearance to my picturesque view.
I looked at this sight through my glass sliding door.
Warm inside, I was fortunate to see snow at the shore.
